Take me out to the ballgame......

Here is a Red Sox themed baseball party I did for my nephew's 1st birthday.

This party was so much fun to put together with the endless possibilites of ideas. Getting ready to do another baseball party for my other nephew this May.

This time it will be a Phillies theme.

I sent a letter to the guest services department of the Red Sox and in a few short weeks, I received a package back in the mail with lots of little goodies for the birthday boy - including this adorable package of Fenway Dirt with a little note for him.

Little touches like this make for a big impression!

Tablescape Thursday - Fiesta!

A few years ago, I hosted a little Mexican night for my family that was visiting. These were mostly items I had a round the house that worked out really well together
for a Fiesta theme.
Now that I am in the midst of planning a Cinco de Mayo party -
I found a little bit of inspiration for some table settings.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Loved this tablescape for St. Paddy's day without being so over-the-top with the usual leprachauns, shamrocks, etc. This was elegantly understated. Hope everyone has a fun day and has a wee bit o'luck!

Mexican anyone?

We are throwing a little "Cinco de Mastalski" Fiesta next month and I have been collecting ideas to get my creative juices flowing. How adorable are these vintage inspired invites from Loralee Lewis? Check out her esty shop, link below.... http://www.etsy.com/shop/LoraleeLewis

Tableware & Tablescapes
I thought this idea was great to use the aluminum disosable take out containers for plates, add a vibrant napkin and voila!

I came across this photo and thought the spanish sodas with the colorful straws looked refreshing. I have seen these soda's at Wal Mart, so I may pick up a few. Not sure how much soda will be drunk, since we will be fully stocked with Don Julio Tequila, Dos Equis Beer and many flavored Margaritas.....

Thought this tablescape was adorable, however, it will be the end of April so we will most likely be inside, but a lot of these cute touches will be used.

Princess Party, minus the Princess

We had been planning a princess party for months for my sweet niece who was turning 4. I offered to host the party and was flooded with ideas on how to make her day extra special. Unfortunately the morning of the party she awoke very very sick and wasn't able to make it. By this time the house was already decorated and brimming with pink. Here are some photos of what I did..... A pink "runway" for guests to walk up

Doorways covered with draping to give a castle feel

Princess crown cookie favors that I made for each guest

Pink lemonade and favors

Pictures I strung together from birth-age 4.

Table all set for the princesses & princes, including homemade party hats & tulle poms

Living room with Happy Birthday Banner & Tissue Poms

Close up of the banner

Paper cones that I purchased for snacks

Coffee Bar

Candle vignette behind my sink

Thanks for taking a look. The party was a success even if the poor guest of honor wasn't in attendance. Take a peek at my etsy shop for some of the items featured here:

Throwing a party with The Swanky Socialite just got a little easier.

Welcome!

I am hoping this blog will be the gateway for getting my virtual party planning business established. I, like many people, use modern technology to help with daily activities or to just make life easier. Many people are too busy to devote the amount of time that it takes to plan a fabulous party. People are either not organized enough, don't like perfecting the small details or simply don't even know where to start.

This is where I can step in. My philosophy is that its all in the details. I want guests to walk away from a party remembering the small things. I will be able to design a party for you whether you live 3 miles away or 3000 miles away. I can custom create a party inspiration collage that can give you all the latest ideas and trends for your party. It will come with a detailed information sheet and within minutes, you will be able to select, order and purchase items from the websites that I have found for you.

Basically, I send the party to you!

If you are in the Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey or Connecticut areas, I can arrange to be on-site for set-up for additional fees. Contact me for prices for traveling outside the listed areas.
